Order Cancellation Policy
Orders canceled prior to delivery or orders that must be exchanged because of an incorrect size will be charged a $50 restocking fee, or 10% of the order, whichever is greater.

Volkmann's Home Delivery — What to Expect

• You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your order.
• A representative from Volkmann will contact you by phone to arrange delivery.
• Delivery will be arranged within a specific 4 hour time period, so you won't have to spend all day waiting for your delivery.
• From the time you order, you can usually expect delivery in 3-7 days.
• The delivery will be conducted in a professional manner and every precaution will be taken to avoid any damage to your home.
• To facilitate ease of delivery, please have dimensions of doorways, openings, stairways, etc., ready to provide upon arrangement of delivery.
• Please be sure the entry pathway to your new product's destination is clear.
• Please be aware that certain installations require further work, often requiring a licensed professional, and maybe beyond the services provided by Volkmann's.
• Please see below for specific product installations.
• Disposal for old units is $15 per unit with purchase of new.
• Local delivery is $25.00 per trip. Additional charges may apply for deliveries outside our local area - see store for details.

Delivery, Removal and Installation
Most all of our products include the following services when delivery service is purchased:

• Uncrating your new product and removing the packing.
• Delivering your new product to its location in your home, and connecting it to existing electrical connections.
• Leveling and inspecting your new product for damage.
• If a 3-prong or 4-prong cord is needed, one can be provided, at an additional charge.

Refrigerators

• Refrigerators will be slid into place, plugged in and leveled.
• Icemaker/water dispensers will be hooked to the existing waterline at no charge.
• If you do not have an existing waterline to feed the icemaker/water dispenser in your new refrigerator please notify Volkmann. In most cases a waterline can be run at an additional charge.
• It is the customer's responsibility to measure the space for the refrigerator before ordering. A charge will be accessed if delivery is made and the unit does not fit.

Dishwashers

• Dishwashers can be delivered and your old one removed, providing that it has been disconnected from the water, drainage, and electrical connections, and it has been freed from walls, countertops, or floors.
• Installation must be done by a qualified professional, and is done at an additional charge. If you choose to have your dishwasher installed, an installer will call you to schedule the installation and removal of your old unit.

Dryers

• A 30-amp service must be within reach of a standard 4-foot dryer cord.Dryers do not come with a cord, Volkmann's can provide one at an additional charge. Please notify us when scheduling delivery.
• If an outlet is not available, one may have to be installed, or another method of connection sought. This requires a licensed professional and is not part of the services provided by Volkmann.
• Venting your new dryer to the outside with aluminum flexible duct is now required in many states, by law. Plastic duct is now considered a fire hazard. Volkmann will provide you with new, metal duct if desired, and install it, at an additional charge.
• Please be aware of the following for gas dryer installation:
  • Most local codes prohibit gas connection by anyone other than by licensed and certified gas professional. This depends on where you live and the gas company you deal with. You should inquire about gas installation before you schedule delivery.
  • Please notify Volkmann's if you require PROPANE or "bottled" gas. This requires a conversion on your product, as well as the purchase of an LP conversion kit. This is available at an additional charge.

Electric Ranges

• Electric ranges will be slid into place, leveled and plugged in. There will be an additional charge if a cord is needed.
• The customer is responsible for installing the anti-tip bracket themselves.
• A 3-prong or 4-prong outlet must be provided to connect your range within reach of a 4-foot range cord.
• If existing range is either built in or not removable by sliding the product out, additional services may be required, including the use of an outside professional. Volkmann is not responsible for removing ranges that are built in, hard wired (connected to a junction box), or connected to any "downdraft systems" or outside venting that may require removal.

Gas Ranges

• Most local codes prohibit gas connection by anyone other than by licensed and certified gas professionals. This depends on where you live and the gas company you deal with. You should inquire about gas installation before you schedule delivery.
• The customer is responsible for installing the anti-tip bracket themselves.
• Please notify Volkmann if you require PROPANE or "bottled" gas. This requires a conversion on your product, as well as the purchase of an LP conversion kit. This is available at an additional charge.

Microwave Ovens
Over-the-range microwave ovens are considered built-in products and will require additional installation labor and possible parts charges. Volkmann will contact you before delivery about these additional charges and requirements of over-the-range microwave installations.

Countertop microwave ovens: If you are out of the immediate area for delivery, countertop microwave ovens may be shipped to you via UPS or another similar delivery service.

Washers

• Your new washer will be set in place, leveled, and the hot and cold water inlets connected. Standard 3 ft. inlet hoses will be provided, if longer ones are needed they can be provided at an additional charge. Please notify us when sheduling delivery if longer hoses are needed.
• The drain hose will also be installed, provided it reaches your drain outlet. Drain outlets must be within reach of the 4-foot drain hose provided. Additional drain hose will be provided at an additional charge if needed or a plumber may be required.
• Hot and cold water connections will be connected, providing the old connections are not corroded, and they are easily removable. If this is not the case, additional plumbing may need to be performed to hook up your machine, at an additional charge.
• Please make sure your old washer is free of oil or debris before removal. Volkmann is not responsible for old machines leaking oil or other substances in your home during removal.
• Make sure that there is a water shutoff valve accessible to installers so they may turn the water off prior to installation.

Big Screen Televisions

• Your new big screen television (27" dia. and larger) will be delivered to your home, uncrated, and set in place.
• The television will be plugged into the electric outlet and connected to your existing antenna or cable.
• The operation of the television will be explained to whoever is at the delivery point. This includes operation of the remote control, setting the color, tint, brightness, contrast and other customer controls.
• The television will be checked for operation and the customer controls will be set to your preference.
• Volkmann does not accept responsibility to connect satellites, reprogramming them or the like. Please contract your satellite dealer for these services.

Small Televisions

• Television products with screens smaller than 27" diagonal will be shipped to your address.
• With in-stock merchandise you can expect to receive your order within 5-9 days from the date you place your order.
• A signature will be required for delivery.
• Next day and two day delivery service may be available at an additional charge.
